The US Presidential Elections have brought forth some recent developments, with Barack Obama, the previous President of the USA officially backing Joe Biden to the White House. In a video message, Obama was seen urging people throughout the nation to back Biden as their main Democrat because he truly embodied the virtues of a Democrat- someone who would work for the country.
“If there’s one thing we’ve learned as a country from moments of great crisis, it’s that the spirit of looking out for one another can’t be restricted to our homes, or our workplaces, or our neighborhoods, or our houses of worship”. With this message, Obama made it clear that he believed Biden was responsible and resilient enough to undo the gross mismanagement under Trump and his advisory committee.
This does come as a surprise to many, as Biden’s surrogate Bernie Sanders dropped out of candidacy last week. While Obama and Biden have served the nation together back in the day, them reuniting yet again can be quite a worrying idea for the Republicans.
This video marks the emergence of the previous President onto the political scene after staying low for much of the time. Although he did meet with all the candidates before and after they nominated their candidature, his advice was the same- he asked them to consider three things. One, why they wanted to be the President. Two, what would be the ramifications of their candidature on their families. And three, what was their chance of winning?
At the end of it all, he did have some comments for the present President, who he believes to be vested solely in the interests of the rich.
