Maine Governor Janet Mills had announced the beloved Easter Bunny as an essential worker last Saturday. She wrote in a directive style “The Easter Bunny performs the essential services of hiding Easter Eggs and bringing untold joy to thousands of Maine children every year.”
She also wished in her writing that may this bring happiness and more hope to the kids and families of Maine in the difficult time of the coronavirus pandemic and announced the order mentioning Easter Bunny to be an essential service provider.

Governor Mills also mentioned the possibility of an increase in the services of the Tooth Fairy. She added the increased consumption of chocolate as the reason behind it.
In her issued order, Janet Mills concluded the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy as a part of “Friendly magical creatures” who can travel throughout the state. The order also mentioned strict instructions for maintaining social distancing and being safe during their work.
