Zoos and aquariums generally have a lot of footfalls. But the pandemic has shut down these areas from the public. This has resulted in the zoos and aquariums to be empty. But nobody likes an empty aquarium! For this reason, Georgia Aquarium has opened their doors for a new kind of visitor which will not affect the pandemic crisis – kittens and pups.
Atlanta Humane Society has let puppy and kitten rescues into the sea world to enjoy it up close. The litter has been given names which are fit for the aquarium – Dory, Bubbles, Marlin, Nemo and Guppy. These kittens can now be friends with the fish and the sea animals without hurting them!
Atlanta Humane Society and Georgia Aquarium have teamed up before as well. The kittens were introduced to this new world after a pair of puppies, siblings Carmel and Odie, were in the aquarium. The puppies loved the new guests.
Rescue centers are in quite a difficulty like most non-profit organizations. They had to shut their activities due to this pandemic. Well, at least, they can let these cuties have a good time. Plus, the positive attention they are drawing can be of great help too.
People may finally be inspired to adopt such cuties after the quarantine ends.
