Grey and Depp dated for nine months, beginning in 1989, and were briefly engaged before she broke it off the day before her 29th birthday. While launching her latest novel, Out of the Corner: A Memoir, the Dirty Dancing actress discussed her previously engaged partner’s and his ex’s case.

Jennifer Grey addressed Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s current court fight during a recent appearance with Entertainment Tonight when she was discussing her memoir Out of the Corner: A Memoir, which also covers their brief affair. Everything that she could offer about the Depp-Heard trial is that she feels pain for everyone involved. She wishes that the case is cleared and justice delivered as soon as possible. She wishes the best for everyone, she said in response to a question regarding the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial.

In terms of the Depp-Heard legal dispute, the Edward Scissorhands star is challenging the London Fields actress for $50 million for a 2018 Washington Post column she published. She called herself a “public figure symbolizing domestic abuse” in it, although she never used his name. On the other side, the actress is suing Johnny for $100 million in fines.

The defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, which began on April 11 in a Virginia courthouse, is set to continue on May 16 after a one-week break.
