Earl Thomas

Earl Thomas, a former NFL great, has been arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order two or more times in the last year by sending threatening communications to a lady about her and her children.

According to Travis County, Texas, online court records, the warrant, which was ordered by a prosecutor in Austin on April 27, is still current. Thomas has not been placed under arrest as of Friday.

The arrest document indicated that Thomas could only speak with the lady through a co-parenting mobile phone application, according to the Austin American-Statesman. According to the lady, he declines to install the app, calls her, and shows up at areas she frequents.

Earl Thomas Texted Her That He Wished They Drove Off The Road

Earl Thomas allegedly began sending her threats recently, according to the woman. Thomas informed her he got two firearms on April 18, according to investigators. “I hope u in the car with him and the kids and yall go off the road,” Thomas texted the following day, according to the complaint. “Ima let my mommy and my cousins poison they [their children] ass,” he texted the lady on April 19, according to investigators.

The warrant involves Earl Thomas’ desire to see his children, according to Trey Dolezal, a lawyer, and sports agent who is representing Thomas in his divorce. Nina, his wife, asked for a divorce in Nov 2020, 7 months after she reportedly threatened him with a pistol over his alleged infidelity.

Earl Thomas, who turns 33 on Saturday, said two weeks ago that he wants to play in the NFL again. The seven-time Pro Bowl safety, who spent the majority of his career with the Seahawks, last appeared in a game in 2019. After punching colleague Chuck Clark during one training-camp session, he was dismissed by the Ravens in August 2020.
