Boris Johnson, the prime minister of the UK, has been to the hospital after he was diagnosed with coronavirus 10 days ago. He had the symptoms and it persisted for almost ten days of testing positive of the virus, as stated by Downing Street spokesperson.
Why it’s important: Johnson is the first leader to be tested positive for coronavirus. And it was approved that he has the virus the same day when Queen Elizabeth gave a speech for the nation. And after urging the British people to fight the virus with “self-discipline” and “resolve”.
“On the advice of his doctor, the Prime Minister has tonight been admitted to hospital for tests.
This is a precautionary step, as the Prime Minister continues to have persistent symptoms of coronavirus ten days after testing positive for the virus.
The Prime Minister thanks NHS staff for all of their incredible hard work and urges the public to continue to follow the Government’s advice to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.”
