Arsenal despite having a defensive stronghold is still looking at a possible addition to their squad with Thomas Partey seen as the best option.

The Gunners in a bid to move out from deep dungeons of the Premier League have considered the Ghanaian international suitable for their plans.

The €50m million euros bid is in a bid command pole position in the signing of Partey after it was confirmed that fellow Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in the player.

Mikel Arteta took over the job from Unai Emery due to poor run of form, which left the club hanging around the middle belt of the Premier League.

Thomas Partey who has been very impressive at Atletico Madrid could change the dynamics if he makes a switch to Arsenal.

At the moment, Matteo Guendouzi and Luca Torriera are doing all they can to stabilize the team defensively.

One would even wonder how Matteo Guendouzi quickly rose up to the occasion at Arsenal, after getting his breakthrough in the latter of Arsene Wenger’s reign at the club.

But looking at the competition in the Premier League, the defensive duties cannot be left in the hands of Torriera and Matteo Guendouzi.

This and more are among the reasons the Arsenal board has been in the chase to secure the services of Partey on time.

Partey was among the traveling party that eliminated Liverpool at Anfield in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League after the Spanish club had earlier take the advantage in the first leg.

Atletico Madrid coach Diego started Thomas Partey in both games, which the Ghanaian international did not fail to impress.

Partey has a strength that would help Arsenal in the long run.

He has the strength, speed, accuracy to succeed at any club.

But is Atletico Madrid into selling one of their best legs yet to another club?

Simeone has been able to build a solid team capable of withstanding stronger opponents on the European continent and Partey forms that defensive wall.

Since joining the club, he has seen himself as one of the favourites of Diego Simeone.

Making over 150 competitive appearances for Atletico Madrid, the 26-year-old has further become one of the best defenders in the Spanish La Liga at the moment.

Arsenal’s€50M million euros bid for the player indicates the club’s strong desire to bring him on board at the Emirates stadium.

But how possible would Partey move to Arsenal be?

Currently, Barcelona is looking at signing Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid, and it seems the club is already losing him to the Catalans.

However, Arsenal’s bid could be dealt a major blow as a result of Barcelona’s interest in Saul.

Atletico Madrid is not preparing to loose two defenders at the moment.

But Arsenal’s€50M bid might become an obstacle, which could prompt Atletico Madrid to sell Thomas Partey to the Gunners.

The deal will be dependent on the status of Saul Niguez transfer to Barcelona. If Saul Niguez makes a move to Barcelona, Arsenal might as well forget about him.
