Apple has made the official announcement regarding the launch of a newer and cheaper model of iPhone, iPhone SE. Starting at $399 with a 64 GB storage, it looks similar to the iPhone 8. The new model is supposed to have a 4.7 inches screen as well as a home button along with Touch ID. In fact, the iPhone 8 cases will fit the iPhone SE like a glove.
You can pre-order the phone starting this Friday and shipping will start from the 24th of April. iPhone SE will have two other models–a 128 GB version priced at $449 and a 256 GB version at $549.
iPhone SE may look like an iPhone 8, but it has a far superior processor and camera. Unfortunately, there will be no Plus-sized model for this iPhone.
There is no significant improvement in battery life with respect to the iPhone 8. The IPS LED Retina display too remains unchanged.
A 5W charger is offered with it. However, it also supports an 18W fast charger. The box also includes Lighting headphones.
This thoroughly affordable smartphone is the second major release of a smartphone during the global pandemic.
