In remarks delivered in conjunction with the Grand Opening of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts in Yerevan, Gerard Cafesjian said he intends "for the Cafesjian Family Foundation to be involved in perpetuity in the ongoing development of the Cascade complex." A history of the Cascade

The building that is now the Cafesjian Center for the Arts has been a prominent landmark in the city of Yerevan for many years. Known as "The Cascade," the complex was originally conceived by the architect Alexander Tamanyan (1878-1936), who drew up the master plan for the city.
