As Mexico’s ambassador visits Los Angeles, an Armenian-Mexican task force is established

Hovsepian School students stage Western Diocese Christmas pageant

Western Diocese holds special service on 20th anniversary of Spitak earthquake

Dec 09, 2008: The Western Diocese of the Armenian Church held a special service on December 7 to bring the community together in commemorating the worst natural disaster to hit Armenia in modern times, Lory Tatoulian reports from Burbank, Calif. Armenian-American voters speak out about the election

Nov 06, 2008: Lory Tatoulian spoke to Armenian-American voters in various Glendale, Calif., neighborhoods. One first-time voter was Kevork Panoyan, 84, a longtime citizen who had never before been inspired to support a candidate for office. "This vote is important for the United States, for the world, and as an Armenian, for my community," said Mr. Panoyan, who supported Barack Obama and Joe Biden.  more...

Nov 01, 2008: For the past five months, Deputy Los Angeles City Attorney Michael R. Amerian has been running a fierce campaign to be elected City Attorney. Now continuing to build on his momentum, Mr. Amerian is gearing up for the March 3, 2009 primary, which will be followed by a run-off on May 19. The 34-year-old prosecutor, who is currently the only candidate that works at the City Attorney's office, said he is "convinced that the only way to maximize the potential out of the City Attorney's office is to have somebody within the office lead it."  more...
