Baptist minister speaks at Evanston, Ill. Armenian church

Published: Friday March 05, 2010

Rev Mark Dennis of Second Baptist Church in Evanston speaks at the first 'Faith in Action' community program at St James Armenian Church Evanston.

St James Armenian Church Evanston is presenting a multi-cultural look at FAITH IN ACTION among Evanston neighbors. All Evanston residents are welcome.

Representatives of a spectrum of religious beliefs will shed light on how the concept of CHARITY is characterized within their faith.

Along with explaining specific obligations or practices, they will share a look at the particular global or community needs their congregations have chosen to address; the challenges they have faced...and the impact their efforts have had both on the people served and the volunteers who supported them.

"We are glad to open our doors to community members to learn how they put their faith into action," commented St James's pastor, Rev Dn Levon Kirakosyan. "Our hope is that the series will serve as a catalyst for developing outreach program, and cultivating a greater sense of local relevance, in our own community."
