Yerevan - The Fifth International Film Festival "Yes Em" (I am) will kick off on September 25 in Yerevan. Ruben Gevorgyants, chair of the Union of Armenian Cinematographers told journalists that out of 224 submitted films, the jury has selected 135 movies to take part in the festival.

The organizers of the festival place great importance on these kinds of events in order to encourage young filmmakers. Expressing concern about the sometimes low quality of films being made by young filmmakers, Mr. Gevorgyants said, "It mostly results from poor knowledge of literature and film production requires a rich background in literature."

The "Yes Em" Fifth International Film Festival will run September 25-30. Films will be screened in Moscow Cinema.
