Philadelphia - The Philadelphia Chapter of the Armenian General Benevolent Union Young Professionals (AGBU YP) organization recently relaunched with "Karoun Kick-Off" – an upscale evening of networking with local young professionals – held at 10 Arts at the Ritz, four-star chef Eric Ripert's restaurant in the heart of Philadelphia.

More than 100 young professionals attended the event, representing a cross-section of the area's five Armenian churches and various organizations. Selected items, including an Armenian DVD, a book, and a gift card to 10 Arts at the Ritz, were raffled off to attendees.

"This committee is thrilled to reignite the young professionals in Philadelphia again," said Julie Paretchan, new chair of the AGBU YP Philadelphia Chapter. "We have a strong and diverse committee that has bonded together and is genuinely energized about contributing to the community and creating new memories. We were excited to host a classy yet fun event in the beautiful atmosphere of 10 Arts at the Ritz as our official relaunch."

The new officers and committee meet monthly to plan upscale social, professional, cultural, and community service events. The chapter's next upscale event will be an after-work happy hour from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on August 20, at Positano Coast in the Old City section of Philadelphia.
