From Armenia in brief: AUA’s TechSquad, with their program Greendose, to represent Armenia at 2009 Imagine Cup

Yerevan - The American University of Armenia's team, TechSquad, will be representing Armenia at the 2009 Imagine Cup, which willtake place July 3–7 in Cairo.
Tech Scout won thenational round of the competition in Armenia. Their innovation is Greendose – "software that cares about computer users." The developers say it helps prevent disorders that come from spending to much time in front of a computer, while also providing helpful information that would support prevention.
Imagine Cup is an annual contestwhich encourages young people to show their imagination and apply theircreative skills suggesting innovative technology programs directed toward thesolution of urgent global issues.
The top three teams willreceive monetary awards. First place will get $25,000, second place $10,000,and the team that places third will receive $5000.
The Imagine Cup wasfounded in 2003 by Microsoft. Worldwide Finals host countries have spanned theglobe from Spain, to Brazil, to Japan, India, South Korea, and last year,France. The 2009 Worldwide Finals will take place in July in Cairo. Last yearmore than 200,000 students from 100 countries participated in the contest.
