Armenia Fund activists awarded Karabakh’s “Gratitude” medal

The Gratitude Medal of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. .

Stepanakert, Nagorno-Karabakh - The leaders of the worldwide affiliates of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund were awarded the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic's "Gratitude" state Medal on May 13. President Bako Sahakian presented the medal to the officeholders across the board, "in appreciation for their active participation in furthering humanitarian projects in the republic." The state medals were awarded at the president's office in Stepanakert.

The recipients included Raffi Festekjian, chairperson of the Armenia Fund USA (Eastern Region), Ara Agishyan, incoming president of the Armenia Fund (Western U.S.), Bedros Terzian of the fund's affiliate in France, and Artranik Sirinyan of the affiliate in Canada.

Mr. Sahakian thanked the delegation for visiting the republic. He spoke highly of the ongoing and completed projects of fund. The president also stressed the importance of the Armenian diaspora's continued participation in nation building endeavors in Armenia and particularly in Karabakh.
