Arts brief: Armenian-Argentinian philatelist exhibition held in Yerevan

Two new stamp issues celebrate the Hoy-Nazan of Armenia and the Malambo-Sureno of Argentina.

Yerevan - An Armenian-Argentinian philatelist exhibition recently opened in Yerevan organized by the Union of Philatelists of Armenia and the country's national post operator, HayPost CJSC.

Presiding at the opening ceremonies was Armenia's Minister of Transportation and Communication Gurgen Sargsian.

As Arminfo reported, during the presentation, the solemn cancellation of two stamps of Armenian-Argentinian issue was carried out. Two new stamps were dedicated to the tradition of folk dancing of the two countries: the Hoy-Nazan of Armenia and the Malambo-Sureno of Argentina. Each of the stamps has 40,000 copies and they cost 350 AMD and 70 AMD respectively.
