From Armenia in brief: House of Europe opens in Yerevan

Yerevan - The official opening of the House of Europe took place in Yerevan on February 18. Lectures, discussions, and round tables dealing with issues of European development and political processes will be organized there.
According to the chairperson of the European Movement of Armenia (EMA) Victor Yengibaryan similar structures operate in many countries of the world, Mediamax reported. "Yerevan's House of Europe will assist the process of Armenia's European integration, increase of the spirit of Brussels in Armenian society, and advocate modern European values," Mr. Yengibaryan stated.
In September of this year, the German University in Armenia (GUA) will start operating at the House of Europe. Chair of GUA Board of Directors Eduard Saroyan said that the university will function as an educational and scientific-research facility. GUA is currently securing state registration and will begin admitting students in June.
