Yerevan - The construction of new water and sewage pipelines in Shirak is to continue within the framework of a credit program provided by the German KfW Bank, according to Armenpress. The three-staged program to construct these pipelines began in 2002 and the first round was completed in 2008.

The second round of the program envisages the completion of water supply networks to Gyumri, Armenia's second largest city, and 53 communities in Shirak province.

The final round of the program will be completed by 2022. Stepan Petrosian of Shirakwatersewage Company told Armenpress that their goal is to ensure 24-hour water supply to the residents of the province.
