Yerevan - Armenia's newly created Diaspora Ministry is organizing an international conference titled, "1946-1948 Repatriation and Its Lessons: Issues of Repatriation Today," in the resort town of Tsaghgadsor from December 12 to 14.

The objective of the conference is to present and discuss the historical facts surrounding the repatriation effort of the 1940s, learning from the errors made at that time and examining present-day possibilities of repatriation.

According to the ministry, almost 60 people will be taking part in the conference. They include  representatives from Armenia and the diaspora. The diaspora ministry, representatives of the National Academy of Science and Yerevan State University will be making presentations. From the diaspora, representatives from Armenian communities from the United States, Greece, Argentina, Lebanon, Abkhazia and the Russian province of Krasnodar will also make presentations.
