From Armenia in brief: Marijuana seized at Zvartnots International Airport

About three kilograms of marijuana was seized at Zvartnots International Airport on September 16. Romik Alaverdyan, a citizen of the Netherlands, was allegedly found to have 3 kilograms of marijuana hidden in four boxes of baby food and potato chips. He had arrived on the Amsterdam-Yerevan flight. Airport custom officials said they found the stash after a routine check of Mr. Alaverdyan's goods. According to the Customs Agency the marijuana is thought to be worth $150,000.
