From Armenia in brief: Grandmaster Levon Aronian third in Grand Slam tournament

Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian, taking part in the Grand Slam tournament in Bilbao, Spain, was defeated by Azerbaijani ­Teymur Rajabov at the 10th round of the tournament. Levon gained 13 points and shared 2-3 places with the Norwegian Magnus Karlsen, who was able to take second place because of additional points.

The winner of the tournament was Vesselin Topalov from Bulgaria who beat Vassili Ivanchuk of Ukraine.
